Women in Games is looking for a part time, Events professional to manage a monthly Meetup for WIGJ Members in London and the South East of the UK. The Meetup Manager has the opportunity to join its newly formed Executive Board that meets monthly to direct this not for profit organisation which seeks to double the number of women working in the games industry over 10 years. This is an opportunity to work for the leading games diversity brand across Europe, for an organisation recognised by the UK government as "programme seeking to provide a step change in the diversity of its workforce" in its Sector Deal for the Creative Industries.

Responsibilities
• Manage the organisation of regular, monthly events for members of the Women in Games professional network in London and the South East of the UK using MeetUp and Eventbrite.
• Advise on events all over the UK and in Europe, liaising with the WIGJ Ambassador network.
• Seek out and coordinate with Events venues - games companies, educational and trade institutions - to build a long term programme of events
• Manage the interests of hosts and sponsors and coordinate with the WIGJ Marketing Director on promotion.
• Manage the recruitment and coordination of speakers to provide different topics of interest to members.

Requirements
• A self-starter with proven event organisational skills including experience of working with event management software, Eventbrite and Meetup.
• A knowledge of the games industry.
• A passion for community and the promotion of women in games.
• An understanding of the challenges faced by women in many roles within the games industry.

This role would suit a Women in Games Ambassador or member of the professional network who has time during the day and evening to manage and deliver one monthly event. This is a paid for role. Preference will be given to those with experience who can establish and manage an ongoing programme.
